First ever online group chat
Due to the holidays, we will be taking a break in December
for our study group meetings. We will continue with the monthly
meetings at the Royersford Library starting in January. The next study
group meeting will be on Wednesday, January 21, 2015.
As an alternative, we will have two online group chats on Google
Hangouts to discuss 2 or 3 sample readings. We will use these sample
readings to help practice our own reading skills.
The online chats will be from 3 pm to 4 pm EST for December 7 and from 6 pm to 7 pm for December 17. There is no cost to participate in the online discussions, however you will need to have internet access and be able to use Google Hangouts.
If you are on the Royersford Tarot Study Group mailing list,
you will receive two separate invitations via email for the Google
Hangout chats, please respond to each event that you would like to
participate in. If you did not receive an email invitation and would like to join us, please send me an email to let me know.
I will send out the information on the cards for the sample readings a couple of days before the chats.
About the Royersford Tarot Study Group
The Royersford Tarot Study Group meets every month
to discuss topics in and about the Tarot, to practice readings, explore
new ideas and techniques, and to share with fellow Tarot enthusiasts
something we're all passionate about.
The group welcomes all levels of experience - from
curious watchers to professional readers, of all sorts of backgrounds
and interests. Whether you come along to gain new Tarot knowledge,
further your skills, or just to make new Tarot friends, the study group
is a forum to expand and cultivate your relationship with the Tarot.
We meet on Wednesday evenings from 5:45 pm- 7:45 pm with each
meeting starting with a discussion of the topic (handouts provided when
practical) then an opportunity to practice the ever developing reading
skills.
The meetings will aim to provide:
- One hour discussion of a topic of particular Tarot interest;
- Time
following the meetup to practice your reading skills and explore new
ideas with others in a safe and friendly group atmosphere
- An environment where sharing, discussion, learning support, and mutual respect are the focus.
- A
$5 donation will be collected at each meeting, which is to help cover
the associated costs of study materials. It is a suggested amount
however so feel free to give according to what you can afford. The money
left over at the end of the year will be donated to a local charity
chosen by the group.
